8th Grade Discipleship Team Application 2026-27

Apply for our 8th Grade Discipleship Team! This team seeks to help students develop their faith in the context of a strong community of believers. Experienced leaders will bring you on two retreats, guide you through devotionals and weekly meetings, equip you live out your faith in stretching ways, and help you grow in your leadership ability.

This form is an application and does not guarantee participation on this team. We only can accept a small number of students due to the nature of the experience. Accepted students will need to pay $325 to be part of this experience, which will cover the retreat, events, supplies for meetings, and supplies for the other team events. Explain how someone becomes a Christian and tell us when and how you became a Christian. Also, include any key events and/or people that God has used to help you grow in your faith. *

I commit to FULLY attend the Duluth retreat Tuesday Aug 11 - Thursday Aug 13. (Full attendance means not missing any of the retreat.) *

I commit to FULLY attend the 2nd retreat in Brainerd area Friday evening Jan 22 - Sunday evening Jan 24. *

I commit to attend the weekly meetings from 5:45pm-6:45pm on Wednesdays before Ignite. *

Attending the dates listed and holding to the requirements of the team to the best of your ability. You acknowledge that after a few reminders you may be asked to step down from the team if you are unable to meet the requirements. Relationships, teamwork, and planning are a big part of this team, so full participation is necessary.

Making this team (the meetings and retreats) a priority for your child. You are also committing to pay the $325 cost for this experience upon your student's acceptance to the team, either in full or in part this summer and the remaining balance during the school year.
